Jesica and I decided that it would be fun to take the kids on a field trip to a local pumpkin patch to finish off our unit study on plants. It was a lot of fun and the kids even talked about where the seeds of the plant are located, and identified a primary and secondary root on a plant that had been uprooted! It’s nice to know that they’re retaining something!
The pumpkin patch was a perfect place for some fun fall pictures!
Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere!
The kids next to the pumpkin sign
Trying to get a good shot of four kids at the same time is never easy...this was the best we got! I'm not sure where Ryan is looking, but the smile is cute! And hopefully Gavin wasn't quite as worried as he looked!
My beautiful children...it's so rare to get a picture where they're both looking at the camera and smiling!
Gavin and Ryan
Ryan didn't want to take any more pictures and was being grumpy...
He finally graced me with a glare over his shoulder...
And when he did finally pose for me, it was in classic Ryan fashion! I love this picture of him!!
And then there's Gavin...the contrast is amusing!
Aaron just had fun playing in the dirt and pounding on the pumpkins...I'm pretty sure he thought he was in a field of balls...it must have been heaven to him! The kid has a serious ball obsession!
He kept trying to pick the pumpkins up...pretty amusing when most of them outweighed him!
Cute kids!
My pumpkin supermodel!
Gavin and Tori found this group of pumpkins and called it their "pumpkin throne"!

Aaron throwing bark
Aaron became fascinated with the bark and spent about a half hour trying to eat it. I had about fifty pictures of him doing this, trying to get him to smile at me! But at last I was rewarded...
A perfect pumpkin patch picture!

Cute pictures, Heather! Ryan's "poty picture" is adorable, even though pouty kids usually are not.
