Stinky Feet Salad with Ghost Cheese

Lately I'm completely in love with goat cheese. I know, strange, but there it is. So tonight at dinner, we had one of my new favorite salads: Spring mix, red grapes, red onion, candied pecans, and goat cheese with a blueberry pomegranate vinaigrette. Seriously yummy, but apparently Aaron didn't share my enthusiasm:

Aaron: (holding a bite of salad up to his nose and sniffing suspiciously) Does this salad have stinky feet in it?
Me: (almost choking on my stinky feet cheese) No, it's goat cheese!
Aaron: Ghost cheese?
Brad: (also almost choking) Yep...it's the scariest cheese around!

Tori took off on the Halloween theme and suggested that the casserole we were having with the ghost cheese salad could be called "Black Cat-serole".

The Adventures of Bones

Tori is her mother's daughter in so many ways. Add one more to the list: aspiring author. Tori has loved making little books since she was little (maybe 3-years-old?). She would draw pictures and tell me the story and make me write it down. Then we'd staple the book or bind it with ribbon or yarn. A couple of days ago, she decided she wanted to write her own book and type and illustrate it herself. She put a ton of thought into every detail, even searching for the exact font she wanted. She was very happy that I wanted to preserve her story on the blog!
