As a parent, I think that too often I tend to fall on the strict side, probably because my own childhood lacked a lot of rules and structure. So the idea that simply showering Aaron with love was going to help him shape up was completely foreign to me. I thought it would simply indulge and spoil him, making him spin even further out of control. Still, I felt that it was what we needed to do.
To my surprise, as I've followed this prompting, Aaron has settled down and has become much more cooperative and loving himself. Best of all, he KNOWS he is loved. Lately, he has been telling me about all of the people who love him: "my daddy loves me...Sister Watson (his primary teacher) loves me...That man (pointing to a random man passing us on a motorcycle who waved to him) loves me."
Once again, I don't know how I would parent without the blessings of prayer and revelation!
